July 1–11, 2026
Training in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania • Mission Trip in New York City

Overview and Q&A

When is it?
Training: July 1–3 (Kunkletown, Pennsylvania)
Mission Trip: July 4–11 (in New York City)

Why is it so long?
This 10-day schedule allows time for both meaningful training and a full ministry experience. The first few days of training will prepare students spiritually, practically, and as a team so they can serve well and think biblically about missions—not just 'go on a trip.'

Where is it?
Training will take place in New Jersey, followed by a week of ministry in New York City.

Is it safe?
Yes. Students will stay and serve under the supervision of experienced leaders from Touch the World and Calvary Student Ministry staff. While in New York, they’ll be housed on a secure college campus, and students will never be left unaccompanied.

Who can go on this trip?
The trip is open to Calvary Students entering grades 9–12 (and 2025 graduates). Participants should have a teachable spirit, a willingness to serve, and a growing relationship with Christ. Due to the nature of this trip, participants have to be at least 14.

Who will be leading the trip?
The trip will be led by Pastor Olivier and adult leaders, along with Touch the World’s trained trip facilitators, who have extensive experience leading mission teams.

What will students be doing?
Students will participate in community outreach throughout New York City—building relationships, serving local communities, and sharing the love of Christ through practical acts of service and conversation.

What is the cost?
The total estimated cost is $750 (final amount depends on the total number of participants).
 Cost Breakdown:
• Non-refundable deposit: $130 (covered by Calvary)
• Training fee: $150
• Mission Trip fee: $450
• Administration fee: $20

 What does the cost include?
The cost covers all food, lodging, transportation, and accommodations for both the training and mission trip.

Will there be fundraising opportunities?
Yes! Calvary (and Touch the World) will provide group fundraising opportunities and guidance for personal support-raising. We want to ensure that finances are never a barrier for students who are eager to go.

How will communication work during the trip?
We’ll keep parents updated throughout the week via email. Leaders will have access to phones for emergencies, though students will be asked to stay present and focused on the mission work while serving. (Students will have access to their phones.)

What if my student can’t attend the full 10 days?
Full participation is strongly encouraged, as the training is essential preparation for the trip. If there’s a potential conflict, please talk with Pastor Olivier before committing.

When is the final commitment deadline?
The interest form should be turned in by November 15. Commitment form will be due in January .

What are the next steps?
1. Fill out the Interest Form (not a commitment).
2. Attend the Interest Meeting.
3. Commit to the Trip.
4. Fundraise (Calvary will help with opportunities).
5. Attend Training (July 1–3).
6. Serve on the Trip (July 4–11).

What kind of preparation will students need before training?
Students will have a few pre-trip meetings at Calvary focused on team-building, spiritual preparation, and learning how to share their faith.

Why does Calvary Students prioritize missions?
We believe the Great Commission is central to the Christian life. Our goal is for every Calvary Student to graduate having participated in both a domestic and an international trip—equipped to love and serve Jesus wherever He leads.
