At Calvary we have constructed a three tier system for understanding where students are and how to help them become part of the church today
1. WORSHIP—our first step in ministry is to connect students to the community of the church. Objectives for this stage: a student is attending a Sunday Morning Service.
2. GROW—our second step in ministry is to invest in students so they grow in faith. Objectives for this stage: students is in a small group and is connected to 5 Adults of Faith.
3. SERVE—our third step in ministry is to help students find ways to use their gifts and talents to serve others in and out of the church.
HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY PROGRAMS
6:21—6:21 provides place for students to invite friends, it coincides with our WORSHIP step. Its goal is to welcome new students into our community. We will play crazy games, go out for fun nights together and hear the gospel proclaimed. This is a monthly event usually takes place on the 3rd Sunday of the month 6-8pm at the church.
Wednesday Nights (DIG) and Sunday Mornings (SUNDAY SCHOOL)—These programs are part of the GROW step and are centered around Small Groups, they provide a space for students to be known and to know Adults of Faith as we study God’s word together. Wednesdays 6:45-8:15pm Sundays 10:45am-12:00pm in the Youth Room.
Service Opportunities—We are continuing to spend more time investing in the SERVE step. As we discuss plans for serving in Wilson Borough with Calvary and look beyond the Lehigh Valley Area, we encourage you to keep an ear open for opportunities for our students to adventure in ministry.
