PART OF THE CHURCH TODAY :: LEADING THE CHURCH TOMORROW
MISSION: The goal of our student ministry is to make lifelong disciples by mentoring students to be part of the church today and preparing them to lead the church tomorrow.
VISION: We believe in a simple process, that could be summarized in one word “relationships.” We want three things for our students.
We want them to Worship in a Sunday Morning Service, to Grow in a Small Group and to Serve in a Ministry.
This reflects our three part strategy:
Families First—At Calvary we believe in a family equipping model. Parents have the highest place of influence over a teen’s life and we work to keep families together and to empower and equip parents to disciple their students.
Think Small—Our goal is not to increase the size of the group but to disciple students. We want every voice to be heard and for every student to have a chance to connect with an adult and their peers on a deep level.
Honestly Being—Bigger than being “tolerant,” we live as a family pursuing Christ-likeness. We love people the way they are but call them to wrestle with sin in their lives. We neither judge people nor condone sin.
Always Adapting—Our goal is to change 10% of our ministry every year, we never settle but avoid complete upheaval as well.
Creating Together—God made man in His image, He gave him unique creative power that we ought to use for the advancement of the Gospel. We encourage students to bring their creations to the group and to use their abilities to better their world.
