Ephesians 6:18 tells us to “pray at all times in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” To help us do that, we have three ministries specifically devoted to prayer.
On Sunday mornings, we have a “Prayer Room” available for anyone who would like to get away and pray. Located on the stage area of the Multi-Purpose Room, the Prayer Room is used to pray for the people in worship as well as give space for those who want to pray on their own or with others before, during, or after services. If you want to be prayed for, or just need to be alone to pray, please come to the Prayer Room on Sunday mornings. For more information, contact Dave or Tyla Jackson (see their info on the Calvary Connection) or Paul Wilson (email@example.com).
Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting
Every Wednesday night at 6:45, in Room 204, people gather to pray. After a short devotional, people share requests and review requests that have been submitted to the church. They then break into smaller groups (usually a men’s group and a women’s group) for prayer. Nobody is required to pray, though we do enjoy praying for any needs that people may bring. It is a great time to hear from God’s Word and join other Christians in interceding for people and needs. For more information, contact Pastor Burd (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Early Morning Prayer
Every Tuesday morning at 6:30 a.m., people gather for prayer in room 106. Usually the time begins with a song and some Scripture reading. Then, after people share requests, there is an extended time of prayer. Feel free to come for however long you want. Some people can only come for 20 minutes before they go to work, while others stay for 45 minutes. However long you can come, you are invited to join us in prayer.
