October is Missions Month at Calvary!

“One by One”

What Can God Do With One Life?

He formed a nation through one barren woman named Sarah and rescued it through one reluctant man named Moses. He saved the world through Christ, one perfect life given for all people and spread the Good News of salvation through Paul, one who considered himself the chief of all sinners. What can God do with your life? More than you could ever imagine!

God can and wants to use all of the “ones” who are His children to spread the Gospel, so one by one, more decide to follow Him.

For Missions Month, we’ll be sending, praying, serving, packing and marveling at what God can do with one life — your life – for His global glory. See below how you can participate:

 Sunday, October 12th

  • West Virginia Mission Team Send-Off

Today, we’re sending off seven team members from Calvary to serve in Philippi, West Virginia. Keep the team in your prayers as they do home repairs and shine the light of Christ to those living in poverty. Prayer guides are available in the Promenade.

  • Ripple Church / Allentown Outreach

We’ll be feeding the homeless and down-trodden in Center City       Allentown with our partners, Tom & Carolyn Albright, pastors of   Ripple Church.

Sunday, October 19th

  • Missions Minute: The Gideons

A member of The Gideons will share how its members are getting Bibles into the hands of individuals living around the world.

Sunday, October 26th

  • Operation Christmas Child Kick-Off

One shoebox can teach a child about the love of God and lead him or her to faith in Christ. This year, we’ve set a God-sized goal of   collecting 700 boxes! Would you be willing to pack a shoebox and encourage others to join you in changing lives through the power of a simple gift?

  • Message:One-by-One” – Missionary Ron Koehler

Ron Koehler, a former Calvary member and long-time missionary with the Navigators, will bring us an encouraging message on how God can use one life and multiply it many times over to spread His global glory.

  • Meet Our Missionaries Luncheon – Noon, MP Room

Come out for a light lunch and learn more about Ron Koehler’s work at the U.S. Naval Academy where he serves with the Navigators. Also, meet Tom and Sharon Sponsler and learn about their work at the International Christian School of Budapest, Hungary, where they have served for many years. No registration necessary.
